The Role:

They are seeking an organised, enthusiastic and client focused Project Operations Manager to join their team and sit on the Executive Planning team to develop business strategy with other division managers.

As an experienced Senior Project, Operations or Production Manager, you will be provided the autonomy to place your stamp on the role where you will receive a very rewarding career whilst you lead a team of project managers and contractors.

Key to this role is to ensure that the projects are delivered beyond the expectation of the clients objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the estimation & specification of all Projects with the assistance of your team and the other key departments being Account Management, Creative and Production

  • Manage the team of Project Managers in all duties

  • Project Manage a portion of large scale projects

  • Manage, inspire, mentor, train and induct your team

  • Planning, developing and scheduling for your team

  • Conduct thorough site analysis and infrastructure review

  • The production of weekly reports & schedule updates

  • Conduct feasibility on concept development

  • Overseeing production & quality control of projects with the production team

  • Ensure projects run within budget & to time lines

  • Ensure clients site is prepared and infrastructure is ready and fit for use

  • Managing project logistics, installation & dismantling

  • Manage relationships with all contractors

  • Manage WH&S for the company

  • Managing impeccable project records

 

The key personal attributes to be successful in the role are:

  • Leadership Qualities - Confidence in leading teams throughout the various stages of your projects

  • Excellent communicator with good presentation

  • Highly organised with excellent planning & administration skills

  • Creative flair, design awareness, decorative ability

  • Excellent level of project management and production experience in the display / event / entertainment / exhibition industry

  • Technical knowledge of construction, lighting, installation & dismantling

  • Quick learner and thorough

  • Excellent Time Management

  • Looking for long term employment

  • The ability to operate highly autonomously when required, but also functioning as a team player, sharing information and accepting input.

  • Sound level of IT literacy & experience with MS Project

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, allied to the ability to form quality business relationships and relate well at all levels.
